FAQs

I already supplement with B vitamin pills - why should I use Palmyra Blossom Nectar instead?

Put simply, it’s always better for your body to obtain vitamins and minerals through nutrition rather than pills. Whole foods are recognisable to the body, therefore the uptake of their nutrients is greatly increased. Synthetic and even some food state vitamins can be difficult for your body to absorb, not to mention expensive to use on a long term basis!

Amazing Palmyra Blossom Nectar is naturally rich in vitamins B1, B2, B6 & bioavailable B12, and is an easily incorporated addition to your daily diet.

Why is Palmyra blossom nectar better than regular sugar? Isn’t sugar just sugar?

White sugar is made by stripping the nutrients and color of the sugarcane plant through a rigorous refining process. It offers no substantial health benefits (with over- consumption being linked to a growing documented list of negative health effects), because all the wholesome goodness has been taken away during its production.

Palmyra Blossom Nectar on the other hand is totally unrefined (leaving it’s impressive nutritional content intact), low glycemic (keeping blood sugar levels stable) and tastes absolutely delicious.

Plus, it supports people and our planet through our sustainable operations in India, where we work directly with farmer cooperatives to ensure they’re paid a fair wage.

Can I cook or bake with Palmyra blossom nectar?

You certainly can! Cooking and baking with Palmyra Blossom Nectar is easy, use a one to one replacement for cane sugar to make delicious and nutritious creations. You’ll find inspiration on our Resources and Instagram pages!

Is Palmyra Blossom Nectar better than coconut sugar?

The short answer is yes in our opinion!

Here's why. Palmyra has a superior nutritional profile, notably containing bioavailable vitamin B12.

It also has a wide range of traditional therapeutic benefits that our customers experience, including a reduction in refined sugar cravings, improved energy, and more restful, uninterrupted sleep.

From an environmental perspective, coconut production is intensively farmed. We sustainably wild harvest our Palmyra.

Does Palmyra Blossom Nectar contain carbs? If yes, how many per serving?

Palmyra Blossom Nectar is a wholefood rather than a synthetic sweetener, therefore it does contain carbohydrates . There are 7g per teaspoon (8g) though it has a low glycemic index of 35 and will not raise blood sugar levels.

What makes SugaVida Turmeric Superblends better than other turmeric powders and pills on the market?

Firstly, whole foods always tend to be absorbed more effectively by your body than pills.

Secondly, the quality of turmeric is very important – supermarket-bought turmeric will typically only contain 1-3% curcumin (the active ingredient that contributes to turmerics health benefits), whereas the turmeric we source contains a very high natural percentage of approx. 7% curcumin.

Currently there are only 4 farms worldwide that can guarantee organically grown turmeric with this potency, as it’s so time-consuming and expensive to grow.

We’ve worked with Ayurvedic doctors to combine our turmeric with the precise amounts of complementary spices to activate the curcumin - giving you maximum great taste and health benefits.

Don’t just take our word for it though, SugaVida Turmeric Superblends were voted ‘Best Drink’ by top UK doctors in 2018.

I have had poor digestion for decades – is it too late for a natural product like Ayurvedic Digestif Mix to make a difference?

Not at all. Ayurvedic Digestif Mix is sometimes the last thing our customers need to try after years of ineffective remedies, before finally finding relief.  You’ll be surprised at how a product so simple can make such a difference. But that’s the power of nature for you!

Are all your products gluten and dairy free?

Yes, they are!

How much should I take of each product?

We recommend the following daily amounts;

Palmyra Blossom Nectar - 1-2 teaspoons per day. Palmyra Blossom Nectar can be enjoyed anywhere you’d normally add sugar! e.g. stirred into tea or coffee, used in baking, sprinkled onto porridge/ yoghurt or simply added to water
